Governance is spelled out in our fifth Principle, which calls for "the use of the democratic process within our congregations."

Our church is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Association.  Each member congregation is self-governing and independent to operate per the vote of its members.  It adopts its own bylaws, elects its own officers and approves its operating budget.

Our church is governed by a Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees is a congregation elected 5-person board whose responsibility is to govern and ensure the smooth running of the church. It meets once a month and members serve two-year terms. The minister meets with the board regularly and submits a monthly report.

Participation by members and friends in all areas of church life is essential to the continued success of the Church.

Membership provides opportunity to vote on congregational issues and to become a leader of a committee or a Board of Trustees member.
